Heat Press Instructions

Step-by-Step Heat Press Instructions
Prepare the Machine:
Set the heat press to 300°F.
Pre-press Garment:
Press the fabric for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
Position Transfer:
Place the DTF transfer onto the garment, ink side down (white adhesive side facing down). Use heat-resistant tape to secure it if necessary.
First Press:
Press with medium-firm pressure for 17 seconds.
Peel the Film:
Allow the design to cool completely before removing the film. If the design lifts, re-press for 5-10 seconds.
Final Press (Crucial):
Cover the design with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet and press again for 5–10 seconds to ensure it cures and to remove any shiny residue.
Important Tips
- Pressure: Consistent, firm pressure is key to preventing the transfer from lifting.
- Garment Type: These settings work for cotton, polyester, and cotton/poly blends.
- Aftercare: Wait 24 hours before washing. Wash inside out in cold water and avoid high-heat dryers to ensure longevity.
- Matte vs. Glossy: Use parchment paper for a matte finish and a Teflon sheet for a glossier finish.
